This guide will cover how to add a new language course on:

[Glossika web app]

To add a new language course

If you've just signed up for Glossika, the system will automatically walk you through the process of choosing a target language and setting up a course.

If you've been using Glossika for a while and now would like to start learning another language, you'll have to add a new course manually.

1. Navigate to your Glossika dashboard and then click on the ''▾'' icon next to your current language

2. A drop down menu will appear — click "Course Management"

3. From your Course Management screen, click the ''+'' icon

4. Search or scroll to find the language you want to learn

5. Confirm your native language — sentences from your target language will be translated into this language

6. Indicate your proficiency level — complete beginners will be started from zero, and everybody else will be asked to take a short placement test

7. Congrats! Your course has been set up, and you can now begin your language training

To add a new language course

If you've just signed up for Glossika, the system will automatically walk you through the process of choosing a target language and setting up a course.

If you've been using Glossika for a while and now would like to start learning another language, you'll have to add a new course manually.

1. If you are new to the Glossika iOS app or iOS Android app, you'll be automatically directed to the course list and asked to select a language to learn.

2. If you’d like to add another language later on, simply click the "arrow’’ button located in the upper-left corner.

3. This is your course list. Click the “plus” button to add a new language.

4. After clicking the “plus” button, you will be prompted to select a ''base language'' and a ''target language''. First, set your base language — your native language or a language that you are fluent in. Translations will be given in this language.

5. Next, select your target language — the language you wish to learn.

6. Next, you’ll see a page entitled “What best describes you?”

If you’re totally new to the language, select ‘’I’m a complete beginner.’’ You’ll be placed in the “A1 low” level.

7. If you already know some of the languages, click the ‘’Test my level’’ button to take a placement test.
