This guide will cover:

  • How to change your account type to a standalone one via the Glossika website

  • How to change your account type to a standalone one via the iOS app or the Android app

To transition to a standalone Glossika account via our website:

By default, registering for a Glossika account via an existing Facebook, Google or Apple account will create a password-less Glossika account that is tied to your selected service. This enables you to use Glossika without the need to create another account and remember another password.

If you wish to transition from a Facebook-, Google-, or Apple-connected account to a standalone Glossika account, please:

If you’re already logged into our website:

  1. Log out of your current session

  2. From the home page, click the "log in" button located in the top-right corner

  3. From the login screen, click "Forgot Your Password". (As you don't currently have a Glossika account password, this process will create one for you.)

  4. Enter your email address and then click the "send password reset link" button

  5. Open your email, find the email from Glossika entitled Reset Password, and then click the Reset Password button within this email

  6. Enter your Glossika email address and choose a strong password, then click the "Reset Password" button

  7. You may now use your email address and this password to log in to Glossika

If you’re not logged in:

  1. Click “Log In” on our home page

  2. Click “Forgot your password?” — this link is located below the password field

  3. Enter your email and click "Send Password Reset Link"

  4. Open your email, find the email from Glossika entitled Reset Password, and then click the Reset Password button within this email

  5. Login with your new email/password combination

There is now an email and password associated with your Glossika account, so you can begin logging directly into Glossika via your email!

To transition to a standalone Glossika account via our iOS or Android app:

By default, registering for Glossika via an Apple/Google account will create a password-less Glossika account that is tied to your Apple ID/Google account. This makes it possible to use Glossika without the need to create another account and remember yet another password. With that in mind, to unlink your Glossika account from your Apple ID/Google account, you'll first need to create a password.

If you’re not yet logged in to our iOS app/Android app:

Please log in to your Glossika account with your Apple/Google account and follow the below steps to reset the password.

If you’re already logged in to our iOS app/Android app:

  1. Click “Account”

  2. Click the section at the top that has your name and email address

  3. Tap “Reset Password”

  4. Follow the steps to set up a password

  5. Log out of your Glossika account

There is now an email and password associated with your Glossika account, so you can begin logging directly into Glossika via your email!

Note: If you get stuck, or if you're unable to log in with your new password, please reach out to us via email at [email protected]. We're happy to help!
